genre- emo clothing, black and white shots, skinny jeans. costume fits genre of music and style of video

relationships- narrative shows man apologising to girl after arguement like in the lyrics. lyrics and visuals link very well with good introduction to video

Camera work- very good effective. good variety of shot angles etc. roundabout shot very good because of movement

editing- some fast cuts which is good. good cut of guitars and singer. cut between performance and narrative very well.

Mise-en-scene- outfits the performers wear worked very well. guitars and drums fit the genre of music.

special effects- black and white narrative allows performance to be easily differentiated from the colour performance shots. slow motion at the end with fade out looked really effective. good sign off.

Rough Cut!

We are pleased with our rough cut. we feel it gives a good indication to the style in which we want our video to be presented. it also gives us a good base on which to develope our ideas.

repost of our edited lip syncing exercise

we have now finished all of our filming for our music video. we are now in the process of capturing and cutting up all our footage to create a rough cut. we have filmed plenty of footage, about 25minutes of good footage to use for our 3 minute project. we did this so that we will have plenty of footage to choose from. we filmed from lots of different angles and with different movements so that our shots will be varied and therefore give a good variation. for the band performance we were very careful to give lots of variation in shots so that we can use lots of fast cuts and give a better idea of a real performance. we had very few problems when filming. all our group were avaliable when they said they were and we managed to finish within our alotted times. we had to use 2 people from outside the group. one girl for the performance section and one boy to film the band sequence. both were very good and helped make it easyer for us to get the effect we were looking for. we are now goin to have to cut out all our unwanted footage and edit the good shots.

We are thinking about using the black and white affect on our actual music video so this was a test to see it came out.
